Instructions For Life

I've read this very nice article from a famous book magazine which was shared by New York Times no.1 bestselling author, H. Jackson Brown Jr. . He wrote this book (originally Life's Little Instruction Book) as his gift for his son who's leaving home to start his college life. And I'm sharing it with you 'coz just like what his son says, this can be one of the best gifts you could ever give not just to people close to you but even for all. You can also add some important words to this and and share it to everybody.

*Compliment three people each day.
*Watch sunrise at least once a year.
*Look people in the eye.
*Say "thank you" a lot.
*Say "please a lot".
*Don't be afraid to say "I don't know".
*Don't be afraid to say "I'm sorry".
**Remember that it's not always what you say that hurts but likewise the words that you don't say at all.
*Live beneath your means.
*Think big thoughts, but relish small pleasures.
*Leave everything a little better than you found it.
*Never resist a generous impulse.
*Treat everyone you meet as you want to be treated.
*Donate two units of blood every year.
**Make new friends but cherish the old ones.
*Keep secrets.
*Don't waste time learning the "tricks of the trade". Instead, learn the trade.
**Beware of pickpocketers, they're like magicians.
**Admit your mistakes. Anyone can make a mistake but only a fool insists on repeating it.
*Be brave even if your not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.
*Choose a charity in your community and support it generously with your time and money.
*Use credit cards only foe convenience, never for credit.
**If you want to earn be thrifty but reward youself sometimes.
*Never cheat.
*Never deprive someone of hope; it might be all he or she has.

*Pray not for things, but for wisdom and courage.
*Have good posture, enetr a room with confidence.
*Don't discuss business in elevators. You never know who may overhear you.
*Never pay for work before it's completed.
*Be willing to lose a battle in order to win the war.
*Don't gossip.
*Beware of the person who has nothing to lose,
*When facing a difficult task, act as though it is impossible to fail.
*Never give up on anybody. Miracles happen every day.
*Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.
**Never let others control your mind coz in the end they and even you will have no one else to blame but yourself alone.
*Don't spread yourself too thin. Learn to say no politely and quickly.
*Don't expect life to be fair.
**Don't be scared to cry. You will never see a human that never cries anyway even boys do.
*Never underestimate the power of forgiveness.
**You forgive but learn from your mistakes. Only a strong person knows how to forgive but a weaker one don't.
*Instead of using the word problem, try substituting the word opportunity.
_________________________________________________________

**Share your smile to everyone but give your heart to only one.
**Take that moment to say "I love you" coz we don't know we might not get a second chance. But you can't force someone to love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved.
*Never walk out on a quarrel with your wife.
*Never take action when your angry.
*Love your family.
*Regarding furniture and clothes: If you think you'll be using them five years or longer, buy the best you can afford.
*Be bold and courageous. When you look back on your life, you'll regret the things you didn't do more than the ones you did.
*Forget committees. New, noble, world-changing ideas always come from one person working alone.
*Street musicians are a treasure. Stop for a moment and listen; then leave a small donation.
*When faced with a serious health problem, get at least three medical opinions.
**Never take advice from fools.
*Overtip breakfast waitresses.
*After encountering inferior service, food or products, bring it to the attention of the person in charge. Good managers will appreciate knowing.
*Don't procastinate. Do what needs doing when it needs to be done.
*Get your priorities straight. No one ever said on his deathbed, "Gee, if I'd only spent more time at the office".
*Never go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink.
*Call your mother.
*Make a list of 25 things you want to experience before you die. Carry it in your wallet and refer to it often.
