Michael Jackson Dead at 50

Born on August 29, 1958, Michael Joseph Jackson was the seventh child of the Jackson family. He made a debut on the music scene at a very young age along with his siblings where they are collectively known as The Jackson 5 on 1968. He started as a back-up vocal of the band 'til Michael later bacame their lead singer. With their cute voices and killer dance moves, their singles like Got To Be There, I'll Be There, And Ben made a bang in the music scene. He then started his solo career on 1971. On 1979, he released his first solo album called Off The Wall where four tracks from the album made it to number 1 in the US Top 100 which includes Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough and Rock With You. In 1982, Michael released his album called Thriller where the hit tracks, Beat It and Billie Jean were included. No doubt it's being hailed now as the worlds largest selling album of all time. He actually composed most of his hit songs.
Michael's fame was unstoppable not just through his songs but so was his signature style of dress and dance. He held a lot of very successful concerts in different countries where you can usually see his fans trying to reached out their hands to touch his and cried...
But as years past, of course, the world noticed his shocking physical transformation. His black skin was slowly turning to white and his nose appeared with a different shape. According to Michael in an interview, he experienced a skin sickness called vitiligo wherein the skin's dark pigment disappears.
The negative side of fame were the bad issues make it real or not. Michael was being accused of child sexual abuse by a 13-year old boy and his father on 1993 but the investigation was closed due to lack of evidence. At that battle, Michael found solace from Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the rock legend Elvis Presley. They were secretly married on 1994 at Dominican Republic but their marriage last for only almost two years.
In 1996, Michael found his second love and married his dermatology nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe. They first met when Michael was first diagnosed with vitiligo. They were blessed with two offsprings, Michael Joseph Jr. and Paris Michael Katherine. The couple divorced in 1999 but Michael got the full custody of their kids. In 2002, Michael had his third child, Prince Michael Jackson II. It was said that the baby was a result of an artificial insemination from a surrogate mother who's identity is still unknown. He was again on the spot with another controversy on November 2002 when he was like waving his son on the balcony of his hotel room in Germany while the fans stood below. Michael apologized later for the incident and according to him, he just wanted to show his youngest son to the fans.
On 2003, Michael faced another child molestation case by Gavin Arvizo, 13 but Michael denied the allegations and was exonerated from the case on June 13, 2005. After then, Michael moved to Bahrain and news were spreading that he had a financial problem. He faced several cases from his record producer and former managers but all those stuffs were later settled. By 2006, his Neverland Ranch got closed as cost-cutting measure. According to Forbes, Michael still earns $75 million a year from his publishing partnership with Sony.
Michael hasn't had a major tour since 1997 or released a new album since 2001.On July 2009, a much awaited comeback concert in London was arranged but that anticipation turns out to be a heart crashing for all his fans. On June 25, 2009, Michael was pronounced dead at his rented mansion in Los Angeles. The cause of his death was said to be cardiac arrest. The memorial was held on July 7, 2009 at the Staples Center, LA. Billions of people worldwide watched his funeral. A lot of celebreties helped the event like Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Mariah Carey, John Mayer, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Jermaine Jackson, Shaheen Jafargholi, Brooke Shields, Queen Latifah, Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson. The crowd became more emotional when Michael's 11-year old daughter, Paris Katherine cried as she gave her last words to her father, "Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine ... I just wanted to say I love him ... so much." Michael was laid to rest on September 3, 2009 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.

Summer '09 at Agutayan White Island

Last May 27, 2009, we went to check out the beauty of Agutayan White Island in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. That was really one of the best summer that ever happened in my life. The place was so small yet very peaceful. The water was so clear and the sand was so fine.

I believe that there are big number of Kagay-anons who are still clueless about the island. So if you're just from Misamis Oriental, don't be left behind...Grab the opportunity to experience the beauty of Agutayan White Island.

We're almost at Agutayan White Island...That's the only house that stands near the island and was intentionally built for the watchmen or the "Bantay Dagat" of the island's marine sanctuary.

.
When we're finally get there, the island was almost covered with water since that was already around 11am. Since there's nothing in there that would shelter you from the heat of the sun, you really have to bring with you a tent or a big blanket/cloth and some straw strings and make your own mini-tent.

Afer an hour or two, the sand started getting visible as you can see in the photo.

Experience the beautiful island of Agutayan!!!

Instructions For Life

I've read this very nice article from a famous book magazine which was shared by New York Times no.1 bestselling author, H. Jackson Brown Jr. . He wrote this book (originally Life's Little Instruction Book) as his gift for his son who's leaving home to start his college life. And I'm sharing it with you 'coz just like what his son says, this can be one of the best gifts you could ever give not just to people close to you but even for all. You can also add some important words to this and and share it to everybody.

*Compliment three people each day.
*Watch sunrise at least once a year.
*Look people in the eye.
*Say "thank you" a lot.
*Say "please a lot".
*Don't be afraid to say "I don't know".
*Don't be afraid to say "I'm sorry".
**Remember that it's not always what you say that hurts but likewise the words that you don't say at all.
*Live beneath your means.
*Think big thoughts, but relish small pleasures.
*Leave everything a little better than you found it.
*Never resist a generous impulse.
*Treat everyone you meet as you want to be treated.
*Donate two units of blood every year.
**Make new friends but cherish the old ones.
*Keep secrets.
*Don't waste time learning the "tricks of the trade". Instead, learn the trade.
**Beware of pickpocketers, they're like magicians.
**Admit your mistakes. Anyone can make a mistake but only a fool insists on repeating it.
*Be brave even if your not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.
*Choose a charity in your community and support it generously with your time and money.
*Use credit cards only foe convenience, never for credit.
**If you want to earn be thrifty but reward youself sometimes.
*Never cheat.
*Never deprive someone of hope; it might be all he or she has.
_________________________________________________________

*Pray not for things, but for wisdom and courage.
*Have good posture, enetr a room with confidence.
*Don't discuss business in elevators. You never know who may overhear you.
*Never pay for work before it's completed.
*Be willing to lose a battle in order to win the war.
*Don't gossip.
*Beware of the person who has nothing to lose,
*When facing a difficult task, act as though it is impossible to fail.
*Never give up on anybody. Miracles happen every day.
*Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.
**Never let others control your mind coz in the end they and even you will have no one else to blame but yourself alone.
*Don't spread yourself too thin. Learn to say no politely and quickly.
*Don't expect life to be fair.
**Don't be scared to cry. You will never see a human that never cries anyway even boys do.
*Never underestimate the power of forgiveness.
**You forgive but learn from your mistakes. Only a strong person knows how to forgive but a weaker one don't.
*Instead of using the word problem, try substituting the word opportunity.
_________________________________________________________

**Share your smile to everyone but give your heart to only one.
**Take that moment to say "I love you" coz we don't know we might not get a second chance. But you can't force someone to love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved.
*Never walk out on a quarrel with your wife.
*Never take action when your angry.
*Love your family.
*Regarding furniture and clothes: If you think you'll be using them five years or longer, buy the best you can afford.
*Be bold and courageous. When you look back on your life, you'll regret the things you didn't do more than the ones you did.
*Forget committees. New, noble, world-changing ideas always come from one person working alone.
*Street musicians are a treasure. Stop for a moment and listen; then leave a small donation.
*When faced with a serious health problem, get at least three medical opinions.
**Never take advice from fools.
*Overtip breakfast waitresses.
*After encountering inferior service, food or products, bring it to the attention of the person in charge. Good managers will appreciate knowing.
*Don't procastinate. Do what needs doing when it needs to be done.
*Get your priorities straight. No one ever said on his deathbed, "Gee, if I'd only spent more time at the office".
*Never go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink.
*Call your mother.
*Make a list of 25 things you want to experience before you die. Carry it in your wallet and refer to it often.

2) Then, take a look at the nearest wall or any smooth, single coloured surface.

3) You will see a circle of light developing.

4) Start blinking your eyes a couple of times and you will see a figure emerging.

5) What do you see? Moreover, who do you see?

A Love Story

This holy week, I'm sharing you a very beautiful love story between man and God. This was just also shared to me by a high school classmate and I'm still keeping it for good. Like what God says, spread the good news so a lot can benefit from it and this story has really worth to be read.

One day, I woke up early in the morning to watch the sunrise.Ah, the beauty of God's creation is beyond description. As I watch, i praised God for His beautiful work. As I sat, I felt the Lord's presence with me.

He asked me, "Do you love me?"

I answered, "Of course, God! You are my Lord and saviour!"

Then He asked, "If you were physically handicapped, would you still love Me?" I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs, and the rest of my body and wondered, how many things I wouldn't be able to do the things that I took for granted.

And I answered, "It would be tough Lord, But I would still love You."

Then the Lord said, "If you were blind, would you still love my creation?" How could I love something without being able to see it? Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and how many of them still loved God and His creation.

So I answered, "It's hard to think of it but I would still love You."

The Lord then asked me, "If you were deaf, would you still listen to my word?" How could I listen to anything being deaf? Then I understood, listening to God's word is not merely using our ears but our hearts.

I answered, "It would be tough but I would still listen to your word."

The Lord then asked, "If you were mute, would you still praise my name?" How could I praise without a voice? Then it occured to me: God wants us to sing from our heart and soul. It never matters what we sound like. And praising God is not always with a song but when we are persecuted, we give God praise with our words of thanks.
So I answered, "Though I could not physically sing, I would still praise your name."

And the Lord asked, "Do you really love Me?"

With courage and strong conviction, I answered boldly, "Yes, Lord!" I thought I had answered well.

But God asked, "Then why do you sin?"

I answered, "Because I am only human, I am not perfect."

"Then why in time of peace do you stray the furthest? Why only in times of trouble you do pray the earnest?" No answers, only tears.

The Lord continued, "Why only sing at fellowships and retreats? why only seek me in times of worship? Why ask things so selfishly? why ask things so unfaithfully?" The tears continued to roll down my cheeks.

"Why are you ashamed of Me? Why are you not spreading the good news? Why in times of persecution you cry to others when I offer my shoulder to cry on? Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in my name?" I tried to answer but there was no answer to give.

"You are blessed with life. I made you not to throw this gift away. I have blessed you with talents to serve me but you continued to turn away. I have revealed my word to you but you do not gain in knowledge. I have spoken to you but your ears were closed. I have shown my blessings to you but your eyes were turned away. I have sent you servants but you sat idly by as they were pushed away. I have heared your prayers and I have answered them all. Do you truly love Me?"

I could not answer, how could I? I was embarrassed beyond belief. I had no excuse. What could I say to this when my heart had cried out and my tears had flowed.

I said, "Please forgive me Lord. I am unworthy to be your child."

The Lord answered, "That is my grace, my child."

I asked, "Then why do You continue to forgive me? Why do You love me so?"

The Lord answered, "Because you are my creation. You are my child. I will never abandon you. When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you. When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you. When you are down, I will encourage you. When you fall, I will raise you up. When you are tired, I will carry you. I will be with you till the end of days and I will love you forever."

Never had I cried so hard before. How could I have been so cold? How could I have hurt God as I have done?

I asked God, "How much do you love me?"

The Lord stretched out His arms and I saw his nail-pierced hands. I bowed down at the feet of Christ, my saviour. And for the first time, I truly prayed.

Heaven For Real

All God's testings have a purpose,

Someday you will see the light;

All He asks is that you trust Him,

Walk by faith and not by sight.

-Zoller

Why other people can't accept failure and put others the blame? Why is it others share their love so selfishly? Why do some needs to steal while others got plenty to feed in their mouths? Why all these happening?

Have you ever remember asking yourself with one of those why's? If not, perhaps in some other way. It's true that God wants us sometimes to meet a few wrong people that would deprive and make us breakdown and cry. He sometimes aggravates our life like it's hard to make a stand but our faith and strength will lead us for survival.

Those dolorous words depict on how the book, "Heaven" was all about. Written by one of the world's bestselling authors, V. C. Andrews. The same author who gave us "Flowers in The Attic" and "Seeds of Yesterday" among others. If ever you got mixed up if why is called "Heaven" , that's was actually named after the main character in the story or make it Heaven Leigh Casteel. I like the name, so unique.

Indeed, that was my very first time to read a novel at a young age of 11. I used to ignore that book 'cause my very first impression was the other way around from what's inside it. I thought it was a scary one 'til my older sister told me the real story behind it. Since I'm more fascinated with a family/drama story so i checked it out and ended it with no regrets. Since then, I learned to appreciate reading books and even brought me to embrace the beauty of writing.

The story merely moved me by the sight that's because of the passion and creativeness that lies in the hand of V.C. Andrews. It was really an extraordinary and heartwarming story. My most liked part of the novel was when Heaven and her siblings struggle to fight for hunger and leaving their father with no option but sold them like chickens. Very heart crashing, indeed.

I'm inviting you to read and join Heaven's journey on how she survived the world of deprivation, hatred, hunger, love, and forgiveness. The book is quite old but i believe there are still available on some bookstores. This is actually a series but this is the best part and I'm quite sure that once you start reading this you can hardly take off your eyes on every page.

I'm hoping that the story will be put into life in cinemas so more people will get to understand why I'm sharing this. And it's really the greatest story to tell.

MissingYou...Francis M!!!

It was August 8, 2008 when Francis "Kiko" Durango Magalona, the Master Rapper was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia. But with his family and friends support he remained positive and fight the battle against cancer. He undergone series of treatments and it was not that easy though as you can see on the photos. Everytime he got discharged from the hospital he keeps himself productive by still doing photography, tv guestings, and making cool designs for his clothing line. He also founded a foundation with Ely Buendia( Eraserheads frontman who has a heart disease) called the Heartist Foundation which aims to help Filipino artists with health problems. The two recently doing an album called The Sickos Project along with various artists which will be released posthumously. He supposed to be a special guest for Eraserheads(a prominent Pinoy rock band of the 1990s) last performance on stage last March 7,2009 but sadly he didin't made it.

On March 6, 2009, an anouncement from Vic Sotto( his co-host) on Eat Bulaga(Philippines longest running noontime show where he was one of the regular hosts) which caused the entire show to pause for silence as he mentioned that he got a call from Pia( Francis M's wife) that Kiko succumbed to multiple organ failure around 12:20PM. His Eat Bulaga family really got emotional especially at the backstage but the show must go on.

Born on October 4, 1964, FrancisM was the son of Pancho Magalona and Tita Duran(famous film stars of 1940s-50s). He's been a loving wife to Pia Arroyo and a good father to his 6 children namely Maxene(actress), Francis Jr., Saab(actress), Elmo, Arkin, & Carla. He also have 2 step-children, Unna and Nicolo. Indeed, he was a multi-talented artist. He started as a breakdancer in 1980s then became an actor. One of his best roles was when he became one of the stars of Bagets2 in 1984. He became one of the pioneering batch of That's Entertainment(a famous youth-oriented talent and variety show in 80s-90s) and also became one of the hosts of Loveliness with Alma Moreno. He pioneered the rap music in the country and then claimed as the King of Pinoy Rap. He released several albums like Yo!(1990), Rap is FrancisM(1992), Meron Akong Ano(1993), Freeman(1995), and The Best of FrancisM(2002) among others. Who could ever forget his hit tracks Mga Kababayan Ko, Kaleidoscope World, Girl Be Mine, and Cold Summer Nights? He also became one of the first Pinoy VJ on MTV Asia along with Regine Tolentino in 1997-2000. At the same time, he bacame one of the resident hosts of Eat Bulaga(late 90s-2008). He only started turning invisible on the show when he was diagnosed with leukemia. He's also a photographer and was awarded two medals by the Camera Club of the Philippines. He's also a music video producer and director. He even founded his own record company, the Red Egg Records and a production company called Filipino Pictures Inc. He's also a designer of his clothing line called Francis M's Clothing Co.(FMCC). But what made him really peculiar was his patriotism. He showed his devotion for his country through his songs like Mga Kababayan Ko(My Fello Countrymen), Man From Manila, Tayo'y Mga Pinoy(We Are Filipinos), Kaleidoscope World, Three Stars and a Sun, and Ito Ang Gusto Ko(This Is What I Like). And on March 8,2009, the Philippine Government made an anouncement that Francis M. will receive a posthumous award of National Medal of Merit for promoting patriotism through music (according to Pia it's better late than never). He also promoted patriotism through his own shirt designs for his clothing line(which are really cute and cool) and even through his tattos.

Francis Magalona is truly a legend for the Philippine music community and an inspiration to every Filipino for his patriotism despite of the negative issues of our country. Somehow, he opened our minds that we won't only need a sword and shed blood for our fellow countrymen... We can be a hero in some way...Kiko, you will always be remembered and will be missed forever...
Rest in peace Master Rapper!

*Francis M's body will be cremated
early morning on March 11,2009
at La Funeraria Paz and will be brought to
Loyola Memorial Park, Marikina City
